Excellence in dentistry, people first.
Protea Dental is all about excellence in dentistry, which is why our clinic is people oriented and dedicated to the highest quality in dental care. You will see it from the first greeting you receive to the latest technologies in our office. A healthy lifestyle starts with preventative dentistry, and our team is progressive and uses state of the art technology.
Everything your mouth needs, in one office.
Routine hygiene through to sleep therapy, sedation and emergency care, all done here on Veteran's Drive. To keep a visit relaxed there are TVs in the treatment rooms, and you are welcome to bring headphones, a blanket or a favourite toy.
Everyday dental care
Oral hygiene
Brushing and flossing need a professional clean beside them: deeper cleaning, fluoride, and watching for gum disease, which progresses so slowly that many people never realise they have it.
Amalgam free fillings
Tooth coloured composite restorations, metal and mercury free. Old amalgam fillings can be removed in a safe environment here, on a plan worked out with you.
Dental crowns
A crown covers a tooth that is discoloured, chipped or weakened by decay and is cemented onto your own tooth to give it a working surface again. Porcelain, gold or ceramo-metal.
Comfort and appearance
Sedation
Oral conscious sedation and nitrous oxide for patients who feel anxious about the chair. You are monitored continually, and treatment tends to seem to pass much faster.
Cosmetic dentistry
Veneers, crowns, implants and bridges, and full mouth rehabilitation for teeth that are broken, worn down or out of line. Porcelain veneers hide stains and chips and look natural.
Teeth whitening
In office whitening with a registered dental hygienist, plus two take home kits. We usually start in the chair and continue at home for a few weeks for the best result.
Sleep, pain and urgent care
Snoring and sleep therapy
Dr. Jedrzejewski treats snoring and obstructive sleep apnea with a non invasive oral appliance that holds the airway open during sleep. Dental management follows a physician's diagnosis and an overnight sleep study.
Migraine pain prevention
For migraines, tension headaches or clenching, a stabilization splint custom fitted to your front teeth and worn during sleep reduces the neuro-muscular activity behind them, without drugs or surgery.
Dental emergency
A chipped, cracked or knocked out tooth, a severe toothache, an injury to the gums. The clinic sees emergency patients as soon as possible, depending on the nature of the emergency.
Getting started
Less to sort out beforehand.
Open Monday until 8pm
Monday runs from noon through to eight in the evening, so a visit does not have to come out of your working day. Tuesday to Thursday the office is open 9am to 5pm and Friday 9am to 4pm.

We have brought the family here and the team have been excellent with customer service and kindness. Have worked with my schedule and my families which has been great! Thank you
Moved to a new city and this was our first time at this clinic. Front staff was really friendly. Melany, the hygienist, was also very friendly, very thorough, and explained everything very well including X-rays and photos. Tech seems very up to date!
Absolutely the best dentistry I've ever been to! Dr. Alex truly listens, explains everything clearly, and makes sure I feel completely comfortable. The care and attention to detail are unmatched. I cannot recommend them enough!
Your first visit
What the first appointment covers.
Here is what happens between getting in touch and leaving with a plan.
-
Tell us what you need
If you have recently seen another dentist, or you need an emergency appointment, we adapt the appointment to your needs.
-
A careful examination
We examine all the soft tissues, the teeth, the gums and the bone supporting them, the jaw joint and your bite, with an oral cancer screening, intra-oral photographs and only the x-rays that are necessary.
-
A plan you decide on
Then we map your future treatments and list the health priorities. You get all of the information up front, so the decisions are yours to make.
Book an appointment
Ready when you are.
Tell us what you need and when you can come, and the front desk will find you a time. If a past experience has left you nervous about the dentist, say so and we will talk about sedation.
That is how booking will work.
